[English]

Due to the fascination with postmodernism, silence and loneliness, desert ecotourism has created a new spiritual value for travelers in quiet and barren areas, which has led to its continued growth in various parts of the world. On the other hand, the development of ecotourism, in addition to generating income for local people and increasing GDP in general, can have a significant impact on the protection of desert ecosystems. Therefore, the present study developed strategies for the development of desert ecotourism in the Lut plain. This research is a descriptive-analytical one in terms of objectives and in terms of research method. The statistical population of this study consisted of 30 experts related to the tourism industry of Kerman province and people familiar with Lut plain. SWOT analytical method and QSPM quantitative matrix used to analyze the data and provide appropriate strategies. The research conducted in five phases. The results of the first four phases showed that the offensive zone is the dominant strategic position in the development of ecotourism in the Lut plain. In the fifth phase, through the quantitative matrix QSPM, the strategies of the offensive zone prioritized in order of attractiveness, and the first strategy of this region was determined as the most attractive strategy.
