In this article, we first consider parenting styles and their relationships with corporate parent sense of subsidiaries, which is one of the remarkable issues in Goold and associates’ studies referred to in this article as parenting feel for brevity, then having identified and classified environmental factors and exploiting concepts and related literatures of competitive intelligence, we develop and enrich parenting feel and subsequently propose novel concept of Parenting Intelligence. Finally the goal is to examine the relationship of Parenting Intelligence and its triple dimensions on the parenting-subsidiaries interaction styles. The population of this study includes managers and experts of Iranian pure holding companies. To analyze the questionnaires Pierson correlation coefficient and partial correlation coefficient are employed. The results of the tests reveal that in the population of focus holdings, parenting intelligence and its dimensions are significantly correlated with parenting styles in which the intensity of the relationship is maximum for the dimension of “awareness of subsidiaries” and is minimum for the dimension of “awareness of parent exclusive environment”, furthermore the effect of industry type on the relationship of intelligence and parenting style was not accepted.
