چکیده English

IntroductionThe use of green and sustainable practices in business organizations around the world is increasing. Environmental sustainability requires actions and processes to reduce pollution, renew resources, avoid the use of harmful substances and eradicate all processes that affect the environment. All companies of any size are focused on environmental, social and economic strategies and tend to gain a competitive advantage over their competitors. Meanwhile, financial resources can motivate companies to do so. In addition, businesses have also realized the benefits of social and environmental activities. Commercial companies are now considering sustainability practices as mandatory (and not voluntary). Companies, although are considered the backbone of developing countries. But in terms of climate change and energy consumption, they have a significant impact on the environment. Organizations are under increasing pressure from the public to carry out activities that ultimately lead to creating a sustainable environment. Thus, the present study seeks to fill experimental gap and seek to answer the main question: "Do financial resources affect the green business environment in manufacturing companies in Urmia through the mediation of the competitive business environment?"
Methodology: The purpose of the current study investigates the effect of financial resources on green business strategy with the mediation of competitive business strategy in active manufacturing companies in the city of Urmia. This research is practical in its purpose, it is descriptive inquiry in terms of information gathering and it falls under the category of co relational research. It should be noted that this research was carried out in the field. The statistical population of the research consists of all active manufacturing companies in the city of Urmia. According to Morgan's table, the sample size is equal to the number of 268 companies that were selected by simple random sampling. The data collection instrument is a standard questionnaire based on a 5-point Likert scale. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated with Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data analysis was done using Smart pls and SPSS software, the results showed that the financial resources of companies do not have a significant effect on the green business strategy
Results and Discussion: Development in a competitive business environment requires a sustainable competitive advantage through coherent business and competitive strategies. The ability of companies to develop and acquire organizational resources, adopt strategic positions in the market and implement competitive strategies in order to identify opportunities and threats in the external environment leads to gaining a competitive advantage for them. Companies need to respond to the needs of stakeholders in order to increase their competitive position. More studies have also shown that companies should use their organizational resources effectively to gain competitive advantage and environmental performance. Environmentally conscious customers are putting pressure on companies in emerging markets to reduce the environmental impact of their activities by redesigning their processes and obtaining environmental management certificates. Considering the lack of financial resources and the role of this factor in the growth and performance of companies, it is necessary that these companies make maximum use of scarce financial resources in order to achieve a suitable green business strategy and with high productivity use these resources.
Conclusion: The significant effect of financial resources on the competitive business strategy of companies and the significant effect of the competitive business strategy of companies on the green business strategy confirmed. Also, the mediating role of competitive business strategy of companies in the relationship between financial resources and green business strategy confirmed. From the perspective of corporate governance effectiveness, including green initiatives in corporate social responsibility practices, both in improving companies' competitiveness in the market and in helping companies to accumulate competitive advantages, by reducing environmental costs by reducing waste, saving energy and increasing revenue. This is important for increasing customer reputation and loyalty and improving the company's financial performance. Future researchers are advised to collect evidence from listed companies to generate valuable information. As a result, a comparative study between unlisted and listed manufacturing companies will contribute to the validity of the results. Second, the current research design was tested using cross-sectional data that present threats of common method bias, so future researchers should use longitudinal data as well as in-depth interviews to reduce the social desirability of the results. In addition, future researchers are advised to collect data from companies in other provinces to obtain richer results. Third, in this research, the effect of financial resources on green business environment was determined by the mediating role of competitive business environment, however, sustainability and environmental practices in companies may be affected by other factors. Therefore, the innovation of the current research compared to the research evidence is that, simultaneously and in a single study, they did not investigate the relationship between the competitive and green business environment with the effectiveness of the independent role of financial resources, and most of the studies conducted have investigated environmental performance, ecological human resources and environmental activities.
